Training Institute Senior Specialist
Reports to: Training Institute Manager
Position Summary: The Training Institute Senior Specialist advances CBA’s Training Institute by delivering training, technical assistance, and curriculum to credit building professionals. This position presents CBA’s signature credit trainings, leads cohorts, manages webinars, and supports curriculum development.
Essential Duties:
Training and Technical Support
- Lead CBA’s signature credit trainings for practitioners who serve consumers and small businesses
- Deliver virtual and occasional in-person credit building training series to support organizations working with small businesses, rent reporting, housing, and credit innovations
- Provide individual credit building support for organizations’ credit programs
- Leading CBA webinars including recruiting speakers, facilitating, and coordinating logistics
Cohort Management
- Plan and lead grant and consulting cohorts for housing providers and credit building professionals
- Recruit organizations into funded programs
- Gather program data, measure outcomes, and write impact reports for funders
Partnerships and Outreach
- Present CBA’s mission and programs to potential partners, funders, and key stakeholders
- Share industry updates and insights to promote credit building tools
- Prepare and edit grant and consulting proposals to secure funding
Curriculum Development
- Support the development, refinement, and updating of training content, materials, and resources
- Edit, review, and test new courses and materials before releasing them
- Turn technical credit information into practical learning for a variety of audiences
- Research and develop new training content based on member needs and CBA priorities

Qualifications and Essential Skills
Required
- Excellent communication skills, public speaking experience, and history of training/facilitation
- Experience in nonprofit financial capability, credit-related role
- Highly organized and strong ownership of quality work
- Content development experience
- Strong writing skills
- Experience training or facilitating presentations especially credit or finance-related
- Experience setting, achieving, and adapting goals and priorities according to emerging needs
- Highly proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), Zoom, Teams
- Comfort with a fast-paced work environment, multitasking, and substantial amounts of information
- Passion for CBA’s mission, with a commitment to helping community development organizations open doors for low-income individuals to build credit and gain improved financial access
- High degree of integrity, strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of Salesforce
- Project management experience (familiarity with Asana)
- Financial coaching, housing counseling, or credit education experience
Minimal travel is required for this position
